Backstage:

CivicFest is pleased to have nine STEP-UP interns working this summer on Backstage at CivicFest.  This section of the website will focus on man-on-the-street interviews, background stories on CivicFest attractions, and interviews with CivicFest professionals.

STEP-UP is a summer employment program for diverse, skilled and motivated youth.  STEP-UP is operated by Achieve! Minneapolis in partnership with the City of Minneapolis and is the second largest program of its kinds in the nation.  STEP-UP recruits, trains and places youth, ages 16 – 21, in paid summer jobs with local employers.
